Akeena Rosalie Siladan is currently the troop leader for the CPU JHS Senior Girl Scout Troop 312. She has been a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) since 2001.
Miss Akeena Rosalie Siladan (Elem ‘2007, JHS ‘2011), a CPU JHS Araling Panlipunan teacher was chosen as one of the 80 National Young Achievers of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP).
The GSP announced the National Young Achievers awardees on August 10, 2020.
The Search for GSP 80 National Young Achievers is part of GSP’s 80th Anniversary celebration with the theme “GSP@80: One Family, One mission”.
It aims to recognize active and former Girl Scouts for their notable achievements within and outside the Girl Scouting movement as well as their continuous efforts to contribute positively to social, economic, environmental, and cultural development of their communities and the country as a whole.
Siladan is currently the troop leader for the CPU JHS Senior Girl Scout Troop 312. She has been a volunteer for the GSP since 2001.
She was an active leader of the Senior Girl Scout Troop 312 in her student years at CPU JHS. Upon graduation, she received a Duty Award in Girl Scouting.
Siladan has participated in different initiatives of the GSP and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
She is a content creator for Together We Rise-Visayas, a take action project of the GSP for WAGGGS’ Stop the Violence Campaign in partnership with the Avon Foundation. She is also the founder of Project Babae.Ian, an online advocacy project that helps girl scouts learn the WAGGGS Leadership model.
Just recently she was chosen by WAGGGS as a delegate to their Young Women’s Advocacy Forum that will equip her to lobby decision makers in the United Nations General Assembly in September 2020.
