With the passing percentage of 92.19% the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ranked Central Philippine University as number 7 among the top performing schools in the Philippines based on the November 2016 Nursing Licensure Exams. Remarkably, CPU is the only school in Western Visayas or nearby Negros Island Region that is among the Top 9.

There were 14,322 graduates that went to their respective examination rooms last November 26 and 27, 2016. On December 14, Profession Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 47.73% or 6,836 passed the exams. CPU got a 92.19% passing percentage and is proud to have 3 Centralians in the Top Ten list of Board passers. JOHN ERIKSON HAGORILES SALARDA got an 85.60 percent rating to earn 5th place, CHRISTOPHER RARANGOL PATEÑA scored 84.80 percent at 9th place, and CARMEL MARIE GULLOS CERBO earned 84.60 percent for rank 10.
