Central Philippine University (CPU) has formalized its partnership with Clark Development Corporation for its Ambassador Program on March 18, 2025, at the Park Inn Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

The event kicked off with the “Clark Meets Iloilo Roadshow,” which ran from March 17-20, 2025, at the Festive Mall. The roadshow featured booth displays showcasing information not only about Clark International Airport, Clark City but other tourist destinations, services and products of Pampanga. While the roadshow was open to all, incoming On-the-Job Training (OJT) students from the Colleges of Hospitality Management, Engineering, and Business and Accountancy from Central Philippine University were highly encouraged to visit.

Aside from the roadshow promotion, the highlight of the visit was forging partnerships with the HEIs and the local government for CDC to become a partner training institution. On March 18, 2025 (Tuesday), at 8:30 AM, the Ambassador Program Presentation was held. This half-day meeting brought together CDC administrators and local representatives to discuss internship opportunities and potential collaborations. The event also included a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing, solidifying partnerships for future internships. Central Philippine University (CPU) was well-represented at the event, with the following delegates in attendance: Ms. Rouella Cheyenne C. Aberia – Job Placement Officer, Engr. Mary Earl Daryl A. Grio – Dean, College of Engineering and Prof. Ismael Almajar Jr. – Faculty and Internship Coordinator, College of Hospitality Management.

Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, President and CEO of CDC led the team. Also present during the MOA signing were Atty. Bonifacio Tarenio, Jr., Assistant Vice-President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Rachelle S. Yusi-Human Resources Division, Manager, Ms. Eunice May P. Dizon-Human Resources Division, Asst. Manager, Ms. Elenita S. Lorenzo-Tourism Promotions Division, Manager, Ms. Charisse Marie F. Lacson-Tourism Promotions Division, Asst. Manager, and Ms. Catherine Rose Soriano- Tourism Officer I. The other institutions that signed the partnership were St. Paul University Iloilo (SPU-Iloilo) and Visayas Aerospace College and Technology (VACTI).

The primary target colleges for these internship programs includes Hospitality Management, Engineering, and Business and Accountancy, providing CPU students with valuable hands-on experience and industry exposure. By participating in these events, Central Philippine University through the Job Placement Office continues to strengthen its commitment to equipping students with practical learning experiences through strong industry partnerships.
