Central Philippine University (CPU), through the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team led by Ms. Novi B. Pascua, IQA Lead Auditor, in partnership with the Central Philippine University – Review, Continuing Education, and Consultancy Center (CPU-RCECC), hosted the “Enhanced Auditors’ Competence for Value-Added Audits Training” on September 29, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the CPUGAD-TBI, Engineering Building.
The training aimed to strengthen the competencies of auditors in delivering more effective and value-added audit services. It sought to improve auditors’ skills in following the audit process given in ISO 19011, familiarize them with the process-based and risk-based approaches in auditing, and help them improve the quality of their audit findings and corrective actions.
Serving as the training facilitator was Marie Yvette H. De Leon from ROSEHALL Management Consultants, Inc. De Leon is a consultant, trainer, and auditor with over 25 years of experience. She has extensive expertise in executive management, business process management, and quality management. In the training, she explained essential auditing concepts, including planning, documentation, and continual improvement, while also providing insights on aligning audit practices with ISO standards and risk-based approaches.

Through the sessions, participants engaged in different modules and activities designed to enhance their technical knowledge, analytical skills, and professional judgment in auditing practices. The program formed part of the continuing development efforts to ensure quality and efficiency in audit functions, in line with the CPU Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team’s tagline, “Every audit counts, every auditor matters.”
