CPU honors Judge Renato D. Muñez Sr. for his remarkable service and dedication.

Central Philippine University held a heartfelt testimonial ceremony on February 27, 2024, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium to honor the life and legacy of Judge Renato D. Muñez, who retired as a law professor after dedicating more than 30 years of exemplary service to the University. CPU also extended its honors to introduce the 37 new Centralian lawyers who passed the Bar exam last December 5, 2023.

The service began with a warm welcome from CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard Dagohoy. This was followed by a retirement tribute dedicated to Judge Renato D. Muñez, expressing deep appreciation for his contributions and impact on the CPU College of Law. The atmosphere became a blend of gratitude and nostalgia as stories were shared, highlighting the significant impact Judge Muñez had on the personal and professional lives of those present. CPU also presented Judge Muñez with a well-deserved plaque of appreciation and a retirement gift, symbolizing Central Philippine University’s gratitude for his more than three decades of dedicated service.

In the second part of the program, CPU introduced the 37 new Centralian lawyers who excelled in the bar exam conducted on December 5, 2023. The university extended genuine appreciation, emphasizing their hard work and meaningful contributions that greatly contributed to the success and progress of the university. After the recognition of the new Centralian lawyers, Atty. Keziah G. Huelar and Atty. Christian O. Tancuan shared heartfelt testimonies, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.

Central Philippine University expresses immense pride and gratitude for Judge Renato D. Muñez’s 30 years of dedicated service, contributing significantly to the institution’s excellence in the College of Law. The university also extends heartfelt congratulations to the new Centralian lawyers, wishing them success and fulfillment in their future endeavors.
