In a steadfast commitment to upholding academic excellence, esteemed faculty members from Central Philippine University (CPU) have once again taken an active role in accreditation efforts under the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities Accrediting Council Inc. (ACSCU-ACI). Their participation underscores CPU’s dedication to maintaining and improving educational standards across institutions.

Dr. Maredil R. Ambos, the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) Program Head at the CPU College of Education, has been designated as an accreditor for Filamer Christian University in Roxas City, Capiz. The resurvey visit, scheduled from March 24-28, 2025, focused on evaluating the institution’s Graduate School programs, particularly the Doctor of Education and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees. Dr. Ambos assessed key areas, including faculty qualifications, curriculum development, and instructional methodologies. Similarly, the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) – Center for Quality Management is undergoing its Level III Resurvey Visit from March 25-28, 2025. This accreditation review covers the Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology programs. Several highly esteemed CPU faculty members have been tapped as ACSCU-ACI accreditors for this endeavor.

Dr. Stella G. Fernandez, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and faculty member of the Life Sciences Department, conducted evaluations focusing on the faculty credentials, instruction quality, and laboratory facilities for the BS Biology program. Ms. Ma. Leen C. Gahum, CPU Junior High School Librarian, assessed the Library Services across all programs, ensuring resource adequacy and accessibility for students and faculty alike.

CPU’s active involvement in accreditation initiatives highlights its unwavering commitment to fostering quality education not only within its own institution but also in partner schools and universities. Through the dedicated efforts of its faculty, CPU continues to contribute to the enhancement of academic standards and the pursuit of excellence in higher education.
