As part of the “Together We Build: A Journey Toward Excellence” campaign, the submission period for CPU’s Jingle and Songwriting Contests has been extended until January 4, 2026.

Central Philippine University (CPU) continues to advance its Resource Generation Campaign, “Together We Build: A Journey Toward Excellence,” by inviting both students and alumni to participate in musical competitions that celebrate creativity, unity, and Centralian pride. The campaign aims to raise ₱250 million for the construction of a new building complex for the College of Law and the College of Medicine.

The Jingle Making Contest, open to all CPU students, calls for an original jingle to be used in future University campaigns and promotional efforts. The submission period, originally set to end on December 21, 2025, has been extended until January 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Cash prizes include ₱5,000 for first place, ₱4,000 for second place, ₱3,000 for third place, and a ₱3,000 People’s Choice Award. Contest mechanics are available at https://tinyurl.com/vbbrr899, while entries must be submitted through https://tinyurl.com/2dxuhtaa.

Meanwhile, the Songwriting Contest invites CPU alumni to compose full-length original songs that reflect themes of unity, growth, and excellence. The submission deadline for this contest has likewise been extended until January 4, 2026. Prizes include ₱10,000 for first place, ₱8,000 for second place, ₱6,000 for third place, and a ₱6,000 People’s Choice Award. Contest mechanics can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/3x3bwfua, and entries must be submitted via https://tinyurl.com/4fmy2mah.

Launched on June 26, 2025, at the Henry Luce III Library Conference Room, the Together We Build campaign underscores CPU’s mission to expand academic facilities in line with its enduring commitment to quality Christian education. During the launch, Mrs. Perla G. Londres Waters, a member of CPU’s Board of Trustees from Chicago, delivered an inspirational message, emphasizing that the initiative is not only about constructing buildings but also about “building lives, preserving heritage, and creating opportunities for generations to come.”

The campaign responds to pressing needs in the Colleges of Law and Medicine, where Law students currently share classrooms with the Senior High School department, while Medicine students face limitations due to the lack of dedicated laboratories and research areas. The proposed building complex will feature state-of-the-art laboratories, moot courts, simulation rooms, and collaborative learning spaces designed to enhance professional training.
