CPU Elementary students and parents participate in various activities during the CPU Elementary Family Day held at the CPU Gymnasium on March 18, 2026.
Students, faculty, staff, and families from Central Philippine University (CPU) Elementary School gathered at the CPU Gymnasium on March 18, 2026, in celebration of CPU Elementary Family Day, coinciding with the observance of Panay Liberation Day.
The event aimed to strengthen the bond among students, parents, and the school community through a day of learning, performances, and friendly sports competitions.
The day’s program began with an opening session featuring an educational seminar on digital literacy. The discussion highlighted the school’s initiative to integrate coding and technological awareness into elementary-level education. By introducing coding concepts at an early stage, the school hopes to equip young Centralians with essential logical thinking and technical skills that are increasingly important in today’s digital age.
Following the seminar, the gymnasium floor was prepared for a series of field demonstrations. Students from different grade levels showcased their coordination, teamwork, and creativity through rehearsed performances, drawing applause from parents and teachers in attendance.
The energy in the gym soon shifted from student performances to sports competitions for parents. Moms and dads stepped onto the court, exchanging their roles as spectators for athletes as they participated in lively basketball and volleyball matches.
These games quickly became one of the highlights of the celebration, as parents demonstrated teamwork and sportsmanship while cheering crowds of students and families filled the gymnasium. The friendly rivalry between teams created an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie throughout the venue.
To maintain the festive spirit of the event, raffle draws were held throughout the program, giving away prizes to lucky participants and adding an extra layer of anticipation for attendees.
Through activities that combined learning, entertainment, and sports, the CPU Elementary Family Day successfully brought together students and their families in a meaningful celebration of community and togetherness.
