Preparing the cabinet and cubicle donations for delivery to an adopted elementary school.
Last December 19, 2024 (Thursday), the Alberto Sorongon Memorial National High School and Iwa-Macatol Elementary School received table, cabinet, and cubicle donations from the University. The same activity happened this year to the public schools of Dingle, namely Nazuni Elementary School and Nazuni Summit National High School, where they also received school furniture.
According to school principals, selected faculty members, and students, the donations greatly enhance their facilities. The donated cabinets, tables, and cubicles will be utilized by school libraries, faculty offices, laboratories, and storage of school documents, among others.
The University Property Custodian called the attention of the Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center about the tables, cubicles, and cabinets available for donation. Since the furniture was no longer in use due to the upgrades and enhancement of the university vicinity and offices, they were available for donations to our adopted public elementary and secondary schools.
Indeed, Central Philippine University is committed to uplifting the quality of education by giving numerous development initiatives, such as school supplies, food packs for feeding programs, and donation of instructional materials, among others.
