CPU – Cenvas will hold a one-day Art workshop on Acrylic and Coffee Painting exclusively for CPU Faculty and Staff and their Dependents on March 18, 1-5pm at the American Corner, Henry Luce III Library. This will be a one of a kind Art Medium activity that the Cultural Affairs Office-Centralian Visual Artists Society (CAO-CENVAS) has exclusively prepared for CPU employees; an outcome of continually holding art workshops, exhibits and community engagements. The Coffee Painting has developed overtime due to its art workshop sponsored by Robinsons Mall in Jaro, Iloilo City during the Valentine season in February.

The American Corner activity event is eventually one of the activities of Cenvas this year. According to CAO Director, Prof. Crista Huyong, “This is a prelude to conducting art workshops inside CPU campus in the future.” She added that, “We’re actually planning for a Summer Art Workshop in April.” There seems to be a lot of activities for CAO and the Cenvas this time.

On the other hand, CPU Excel Chorale was invited to sing in an event at the Iloilo City Convention Center (ICC), Iloilo City on April 21. It’s a province-wide participation with the City Mayor and the Provincial Governor expected to be present.
