Central Philippine University (CPU) and the Central Philippine University Federation of Overseas Alumni Association (CPUFOAA) formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the BOT Conference Room, Rex D. Drilon Hall, in support of CPU’s ongoing Resource Generation Campaign, “Together We Build: A Journey Toward Excellence.”
The MOA was signed by CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy and CPUFOAA President Lee J. Plagata, in the presence of CPU-College of Law Assistant Dean Atty. Liza Lyn S. Lamason-Garcia, Resource Generation Committee Secretariat Atty. Nestle G. Taala, and Administrative Officer Ms. Carmelle Frances M. Romero.
The event also welcomed the CPU High School Class of 1976, who joined for a courtesy call, with President Plagata participating in the visit.
Notably, last November 2025, CPU and CPUFOAA held an initial coordination meeting to strengthen their resource generation partnership, with CPUFOAA serving as the conduit for international donations from alumni chapters abroad in support of the College of Law and Medicine Building.
Representing CPUFOAA was Pastor Edward Pormilos, Treasurer, who provided updates on international giving pathways, coordination protocols, and the organization’s continuing support for CPU’s development initiatives. CPU was represented by Dr. Florence P. Bogacia, Vice President for Finance and Enterprises, and Atty. Taala.
The meeting focused on aligning procedures, refining donation flow mechanisms, and strengthening coordination between CPU and CPUFOAA for the ongoing ₱250 Million Capital Campaign for the College of Law and Medicine Building. Both parties emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and consistent communication with alumni chapters abroad.
