Here are some of the participants of the midyear Management Review which was well attended.
As part of the mandate of ISO 9001:2015, CPU conducted a midyear Management Review for the period ending December 31, 2021 last February 14 and 15, 2022. It was attended by 3 members of the Board of Trustees – Dr. Agustin A. Pulido, Dr. Carmen P. Santos, and Dr. Expedito Señeres. The Deans, Principals, Heads of Academic and Non-Academic units were also in attendance.
The Quality Assurance Center headed by Acting Director, Ana May A. Yap-Zerrudo and Acting Assistant Director Sharlene G. Gotico, laid down the following objectives for the said review: 1.
To review the status of University objectives as of December 31, 2021. 2. To gather inputs for the strategic plan. 3. To discuss the results of Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
A short meditation by Rev. Cris Amorsolo V. Sian, Senior Pastor, started the program. It was followed by the remarks of CPU President Dr. Teodoro C. Robles. He emphasized the need to comply with ISO requirements and thanked everyone for doing their part.
The rationale of the review and flow of activities for the two-day event was given by Engr. Dimpna C. Castigador, Director, Office of Institutional Advancement. It was followed by the reading of the previous minutes by Dr. Anna May Y. Zerrudo, Acting Director, Quality Assurance Center. The actionable items from the Management Review on October 27 and 29, 2021, were given emphasis as to what are the updates.
The presentation of reports was done with regards to the status of University Objectives as of December 31, 2021. The reports covered the period – August to December 2021. The report on Administration and Governance was given by Dr. Teodoro C. Robles. It was followed by a report on Quality of Teaching and Learning by Dr. Irving Domingo L. Rio, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Florence P. Bogacia, Vice President for Finance and Administration also reported on the status of the Finances while the report on Student Services was given by Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Student Affairs.
The reporting continued throughout the morning. Rev. CrisAmorsolo V. Sian, Senior Pastor
, University Church, presented a report on Christian Identity. It was followed by the report of Prof. Rodel C. Palomar, Director, Human Resource Development, with regards to HR Development.
After a break, the report on Customer Satisfaction and Feedback from Relevant Parties was given by Dr. Lenny Rose P. Mucho, Member, Research Management Committee and Rev. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director, Office of Communications.
The first day was ended with a lively Open Forum.
The second day started with a recap of the first day’s activities by Prof. Sharlene G. Gotico

The reporting continued afterwards. Dr. Irving Domingo Rio gave the status of the Research while the status on Community Engagement and Service Learning was given by Engr. Levi Delos Santos, Director, Community Engagement and Service Learning.
The Physical Facilities report was given by Dr. Teodoro C Robles. He cited the developments in the campus in the last few months. Mrs. Novi Pascua, Auditor, Internal Quality Audit, share the
Status of NCs and Corrective Actions. She reminded everyone to finish some of the things that she pointed out.
Before the Open Forum, Engr. Dimpna Castigador gave Updates on Environmental Scanning, especially in the context where CPU is situated.
At the end, Dr. Anna May Y. Zerrudo made a Review of the Effectiveness of the QMS, and everyone present agreed that it is CPUs Quality Management System is adequate, suitable and effective.
Before the adjournment, the Over-all state of the University was given by Dr. Teodoro C. Robles. We thank God that despite the pandemic, we have many students who enrolled in the university.
After the Picture Taking, a Closing Prayer was given by Dr. Bernabe C.Pagara, Dean, College of Theology.
