CPU – College of Medical Laboratory Science and College of Nursing volunteers pose with community members during the Medical Mission Outreach in Barangay Badiang, New Lucena, Iloilo on November 8, 2025.

The CPU – College of Medical Laboratory Science, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, successfully held a Medical Mission Outreach last November 8, 2025, at Barangay Badiang, New Lucena, Iloilo, together with members from the CPU Student Nurses Association of the Philippines (SNAP) and Nurses Notes Publication (NNP), with the support of the CPU Republic. The project aimed to promote the health and well-being of the residents through provision of free medical, diagnostic, and educational health services.

The outreach offered fecalysis, urinalysis, blood glucose testing (HGT), tooth extraction, and health education lectures on parasitism, wherein a handwashing lecture was also conducted by College of Nursing Ministerial Staff for Outreach Nicole Anayan and Jindro Acla, emphasizing the importance of proper hygiene practices to prevent diseases among the community. Additionally, a total of 150 hygiene kits were also distributed to the beneficiaries as part of the outreach initiative.

The activity strengthened student volunteerism and inter-college collaboration, uniting future healthcare professionals in meaningful community service, and in promoting wellness and compassion beyond the classroom. The CPU College of Nursing extends its gratitude to all volunteers, partner colleges, and community partners, as well as to AMSA-WVSU as our special partner, who made this mission possible. May this spark more initiatives that carry the same spirit of compassion, service, and purpose—the true heartbeat of nursing.
