The College of Pharmacy Student Council (COPSC) of Central Philippine University (CPU) successfully conducted the “Punong Pag-asa” Outreach Program on December 2, 2024, at Judith L. Tiongco Memorial School in Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro, Iloilo City. Despite challenges such as processing official documents and adjusting the project date, the event highlighted the spirit of service and unity within the CPU community.
Planning and preparations for the project began in mid-October 2024. Key milestones included posting project details on the official COPSC page and painting the Promise Wall Mural on December 1-2, 2024. Approval for the necessary letters and proposals was secured on November 29, 2024. Most planning sessions were conducted online via Google Meet, with additional on-site meetings at the Loreto D. Tupaz (LDT) Building involving COPSC officials and advisers.

Volunteers were recruited through an open invitation to COPSC staff, ensuring broad participation. Committees were formed to manage logistics, food, venue setup, and art activities, facilitating the efficient distribution of resources and tasks.
The outreach program featured interactive activities, including games and quizzes, to engage participants. The Promise Wall Mural served as a focal point, symbolizing hope and unity. The program’s success was evident in the enthusiastic involvement and positive feedback from participants.
Challenges, such as logistical adjustments, were addressed through close communication and collaborative teamwork. Tasks were evenly distributed among team members, ensuring smooth facilitation and effective service delivery throughout the event.
The “Punong Pag-asa” Outreach Program demonstrated the CPU College of Pharmacy’s commitment to community engagement and holistic education, leaving a lasting impact on both participants and volunteers.
