The Central Philippine University College of Nursing (CPUCN) sent faculty and student representatives to the Filipino Nurses Global Summit VI and the 15th International Nursing Conference, held on January 22–23, 2026, at Conrad Hilton Manila, Pasay City. The event carried the theme, “Beyond Borders: Filipino Nurses’ Impact and Influence in Global Health Transformation.”

CPUCN’s delegation included Dean Melba C. Sale, Prof. Ma. Lourdes Sampiano, Prof. Herme A. Borlado, Prof. Susan Sumande, and Dr. Sarla F. Duller. Five student representatives participated: Mikee Durana, Arizza Claire Dieta, David Eugene Demasu-ay, Shane Michelle Deocampo, and Jia G. Jamona, a PNAA grantee sponsored by Mrs. Zyrene Marsh.

Four students presented a poster titled “Perceived Quality of Nursing Care and Level of Satisfaction Among Patients in a Government Hospital in the Province of Iloilo,” alongside Dr. Jonathan A. Gapilango, adjunct professor. Speakers at the summit included Atty. Salex E. Alibogha, former CPUCN dean, and alumnus Dr. Omar Montejo, providing opportunities for discussion, knowledge exchange, and professional networking with Filipino nurses worldwide.

The summit aimed to strengthen global collaboration, address gaps in nursing practice, and expand professional knowledge in the field. CPUCN representatives noted that the event not only fostered connections but also highlighted opportunities to advance nursing education and healthcare delivery.
