Congratulations CPU College of Medicine for an outstanding performance at the 14th APMC-SN Visayas Regional Assembly.
The Central Philippine University College of Medicine (CPU ColMed) showcased academic excellence and competitive spirit at the 14th APMC-SN Visayas Regional Assembly held from January 22 to 24, 2026, at the University of Cebu – Gullas College of Medicine in Mandaue City, Cebu.
Under the theme “PAKABANA: Compassion in Motion,” the annual assembly brought together medical schools across the Visayas region and featured various academic, clinical, and socio-cultural competitions designed to highlight the competence and talents of future physicians.
CPU ColMed earned the First Runner-Up title in the Clinicopathologic Case Competition, with two teams representing the University. Team 1 was composed of Lamberto Chomi Jr., John Glen Teorima, Anna Veronique Lee, and Adrian Maggay. Team 2 included Joseph Angelo Pabalinas, Kevin Christopher Aragon, Esania Adrienne Javier, and Angelica Mogato. The teams were coached by Dr. Al Jeson Chin and Dr. Mary Grace Gonzales.
In the Healthcare Innovation Competition, CPU ColMed emerged as the Champion. The winning team was composed of Mike Angelo Dolinog, Marianne Diaz, Jessica Anne Sanchez, and Romillene Nosotros, under the guidance of Dr. Ma. Nemia Lizada and Dr. Allan Rod Pasuelo. Dolinog also received special citations for the Best Presentation and Best Presenter, further underscoring the team’s outstanding performance.
CPU ColMed also secured second runner-up in the Interscholastic Medical Debate Competition. The debate team members were Ivy Marie Pilatan, Yusimay Hablado, and Ashley Marie Bargas, with Dr. Jesus Eugenio De Jesus serving as adviser. Pilatan was recognized as one of the Top 5 Best Speakers in the competition.
In the Vocal Duet category, Kaila Adelaide Reyes and Resmarc Subigca secured second runner-up, highlighting CPU ColMed’s strength in both academic and cultural competitions, while in the Quiz Bee competition, Angenette Lizada, Francis Amoguis, Oliver Gonzales, and Grenel Sumayo placed sixth overall under the guidance of advisers Dr. Felice Molina and Dr. Suzette Labrador.
Through these achievements, CPU ColMed reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic formation of future healthcare professionals, continuing to raise the banner of Central Philippine University in regional medical competitions.
