The Central Philippine University (CPU) College of Law, through its Legal Aid Clinic, conducted a series of outreach lectures for junior and senior high school learners in Iloilo Province as part of its 2026 community engagement initiatives. The activities were held on January 19, 2026, at Leganes National High School in Leganes, Iloilo, and on January 27, 2026, at Ramon Avanceña National High School in Villa Arevalo, Iloilo City, where law student practitioners delivered lectures on the Department of Education’s Child Protection Policy, the Safe Spaces Act, and the Anti-Bullying Act.

The lectures aimed to raise awareness among learners about their rights and responsibilities while promoting a safer and more inclusive school environment. Discussions focused on understanding legal protections and addressing issues related to bullying and harassment, with students actively participating throughout the sessions.

The outreach lectures were supervised by Atty. Liza Lyn S. Lamason-Garcia, Clinic Director, and Atty. Ina Noelene M. Bernales, CLEP Faculty, who provided guidance to the law student practitioners during the activities.

Through these outreach efforts, the Legal Aid Clinic emphasized the role of legal education in community service by bringing legal knowledge closer to students in local schools. The January activities underscored the College of Law’s commitment to extending learning beyond the classroom and supporting community-based education initiatives.
