On March 17, 2026, a team of law student practitioners from the Central Philippine University College of Law Legal Aid Clinic conducted a lecture on Cybercrimes and the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) Act for Grade 11 students of CPU Senior High School.
The lecture was conducted under the supervision of Atty. Ina Noelene Bernales and formed part of Kasanagan, an alternative class organized by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and the Guidance Services Center.
The session aimed to increase awareness among students regarding online offenses and legal protections related to violence against women and children. Through the discussions, participants were introduced to legal concepts relevant to digital safety, responsible online behavior, and the prevention of abuse.
By participating in activities such as Kasanagan, the Legal Aid Clinic supports the university’s efforts to promote a safe and VAW-free community. The lecture also reflects the College of Law’s continuing commitment to community-oriented legal education.
