The CPU College of Engineering currently offers Technopreneurship 101, a 3-credit required course for all Engineering Majors. The subject is designed to explore the entrepreneurial mindset and culture utilizing technology or engineering background.

Technopreneurship 101 encourages science and engineering students to explore the entrepreneurial and research and development (R&D) career paths.

The class is based on entrepreneurship modules, which cover topics such as introduction to entrepreneurship, idea creation, feasibility and differentiation, market validation, and business planning and execution.

Technopreneurship 101 is divided into 3 stages: 1) Introducing the entrepreneurial way and philosophy, 2) Idea generation and market analysis, and 3) Business planning and execution. The subject was first to be offered starting 2nd semester, SY 2020-2021.

Engg 1207-Technopreneurship 101 is handled by Engr. Ceasar Rico S. Acanto (Head, Electrical Engineering Department) and Engr. Delvie G. Lagos (Faculty, Electronics, and Communication Engineering Dept.)

Central Philippine University is the only school in the Philippines with a program in Packaging Engineering. Three of its units: Chemical, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering are Centers of Excellence in Western Visayas.
