After three years of the Covid-19 pandemic, the CPU College of Arts and Sciences celebrated its 97th Anniversary on March 20, 2023, with various events and competitions. CAS alumni, faculty, and staff assembled at the Old Valentine Building as early as 6:30 in the morning for a commemorative parade at 7:30 AM, which ended at the Rose Memorial Auditorium for the Opening Program at 8:00 AM.
Different groups, guests, and alumni were welcomed and introduced. After the prayer and singing of the National Anthem, CAS Dean Dr. Stella G. Fernandez delivered her opening remarks. It was followed by the presentation of the Mr. and Ms. CAS candidates. The Mr. and Ms. CAS Contest was held at 3:00 in the afternoon and ended at 8:00 in the evening at the Rose Memorial Auditorium (RMA).
The other CAS Festival competitions held at the RMA included a Lip Sync Battle and the Hip Hop Dance Competition. The Laro ng Lahi competition was held at the Big Field. The awarding of all events and candidates for the Mr. and Ms. CAS 2023 was held at RMA at 8:00 PM.
