On March 6, 2026, a team of law student practitioners from the Central Philippine University (CPU) College of Law Legal Aid Clinic conducted an outreach lecture for students of Tagsing-Buyo National High School in Tagsing, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
The outreach activity focused on discussions about the Safe Spaces Act, Anti-Bullying Laws, and the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act, aiming to raise awareness among learners about their rights, responsibilities, and legal protections.
The lecture was conducted under the supervision of Atty. Ina Noelene M. Bernales, who guided the law student practitioners in delivering the discussions and engaging with the students during the session.
Students of Tagsing-Buyo National High School participated in the activity as the speakers explained the importance of understanding laws that promote safety, respect, and protection within schools and communities.
The Legal Aid Clinic also expressed gratitude to Mr. Alfredo J. Parreño Jr., PhD, principal of Tagsing-Buyo National High School, for the support and accommodation extended to the team in facilitating the outreach activity.
Through initiatives such as this, the CPU College of Law Legal Aid Clinic continues to extend legal education beyond the university by bringing important legal information directly to communities.
