On March 10, 2026, a team of law student practitioners from the Central Philippine University (CPU) College of Law Legal Aid Clinic conducted a legal awareness lecture at La Paz National High School in La Paz, Iloilo City.

The lecture covered the Department of Education Child Protection Policy, the Anti-Bullying Act, and the Safe Spaces Act, aiming to promote awareness of legal protections that support safe and respectful learning environments in schools.

The activity was conducted under the supervision of Clinic Director Atty. Liza Lyn S. Lamason-Garcia, who guided the law student practitioners in delivering the discussions.

High school teachers of La Paz National High School attended the lecture as part of the school’s activities in celebration of National Women’s Month, highlighting the importance of legal awareness in promoting safe spaces and protecting the rights of women and students in educational settings.

The Legal Aid Clinic also expressed gratitude to La Paz National High School Principal Salvador M. Besares for the support and accommodation extended to the team in facilitating the outreach activity.

Through initiatives such as this, the CPU College of Law Legal Aid Clinic continues to extend legal education beyond the university by bringing relevant legal knowledge to schools and communities.
