One of the popular advice to achieve a healthy lifestyle is to “eat a low-fat diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains; choosing a diet that’s low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and moderate in sugar, salt and total fat. “A healthy outside starts from the inside.”
Central Philippine University College of Hospitality Management begins this advocacy with “Vegetarians: Nourishing the Mind and Body through a healthy and fit lifestyle – a one-day event held at the CPU Alumni Promenade Concert Park (APCP) on May 25, 2023 by the students of Dr. Lucio C. Tan College of Hospitality Management.
The event highlighted the importance of eating healthy habits and sustainable agriculture by showcasing the local farmer’s products. It included activities like cooking demo, cocktail mixing, trade and food exhibit and food carving.
“Vegetralians” simply bring together consumers and products in a showcase of health and business. According to Rc Sitchon, a 2nd year CHM student, event coordinator, “A healthy lifestyle is a result of consuming foods that include fruits and vegetables, while a profusion of fresh products will come from the farms.”
