Some of the outreach activities conducted during the University Outreach Week, held from December 1–6, 2025, were organized by various colleges, departments, and student organizations.
December 1–6, 2025 is recognized as the University Outreach Week. During this period, students, faculty, staff, and alums are encouraged to participate in community outreach and engagement initiatives. This annual celebration, held every first week of December, complies with Republic Act No. 7722, also known as the Higher Education Act of 1994, which mandates extension—alongside instruction and research—as one of the fundamental functions of higher education institutions in the country. Extension involves transferring knowledge, skills, and technology to develop communities.
Here is the list of the outreach activities and engagement initiatives orchestrated during the University Outreach Week:
- CAS-Department of Language, Mass Communication and Humanities, “Dedication Ceremony of CPU-Kinaadman Reading Development and Diagnostic Services”;
- College of Medical Laboratory Science, “The ABCD of Safety: Knowledge is Power-A Youth Symposium for HIV Prevention and Compassion”;
- Junior High School “Spiritual Enrichment, Team Building and Fellowship Program for IRPIS Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel”;
- CPU-Association of Political Science and Public Administration, “EDUQUEST 2.0: Mathematical and Literacy Skills for Grade 6 students;
- College of Education, “Teacher Din Ako Project”;
- CPU-Department of Life Sciences, “Environmental Literacy: Mangroves, Marine Biodiversity Conservation and Waste Management;
- CPU Female Society, “ Tabang Ta, Baha Bala: A DRRM Outreach and Donation Drive in Capiz”; and
- CAS- Department of Language, Mass Communication and Humanities, “Project LEAP-Literacy, English, Access, and Progress”. And among others.
