Exciting, fun, and truly memorable – those are the words that best describe Soirée: The 2025 CCS Acquaintance Party, as students of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) gathered last August 6, 2025, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium for the much-awaited return of the college-wide event.
Hosted by CCSPC Board Member Aaliyah Mae Damalerio and Modern Interactive Digital Artists Society (MIDAS) President Nicole Delos Santos of BSDMIA-3, the celebration brought together CCS warriors from all year levels and programs, marking the revival of the college’s annual acquaintance party after a year-long hiatus.
The program opened with a freshmen orientation led by CCS Dean Ma. Christina “Ting” Quijano, alongside faculty members Mrs. Rose Leah Joy Ojacastro, Head of BSIT, and Ms. Marjee Rose “Pinky” Parreño, Head of BSCS and BSDMIA. The orientation introduced first-year students to CCS programs, systems, and opportunities awaiting them in the coming year.
The event also welcomed distinguished guests from the Central Philippine University Republic (CPUR), including President Jellian Precious Ganda and Prime Minister-Senator Jaylord Lampa.
One of the key highlights was the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed officers of the College of Computer Studies Provincial Council (CCSPC), Computer Science Society (CSS), Information Technology Students Organization (ITSO), Library Information Science Student Organization (LISSO), and MIDAS.

With formalities completed, the party shifted into full swing with interactive activities, engaging booth exhibitions from CCS programs, and raffle draws that kept the students energized throughout the afternoon. Notable booths included those of the Peer Facilitators and Lucikoro, which offered merchandise and fun activities.
Adding a creative flair to the event, students were treated to special screenings of CCS’ award-winning films: “Ang Pulong Sang Mga Baboy,” which made waves at the SIGRAB Film Festival 2025, and “Ang Pagtililipon Sang Mga Damgo,” an entry to DARCRFF-Pelikulagraryo 2025.
The night ended on a high note with an afterparty hosted by guest DJ Franco Lao, where students, faculty, and student leaders danced and celebrated the success of the event.
Soirée: The 2025 CCS Acquaintance Party was organized by the CCS Provincial Council with the support of student organizations and the CCS faculty, reminding students once again that in CCS, camaraderie, creativity, and community are at the heart of every gathering.
