Congratulations to the Central Philippine University College of Business and Accountancy team for emerging as Champion in the IT Category at the 3rd PCDEB Visayas Business Student Summit 2026.

The Central Philippine University – College of Business and Accountancy (CPU-CBA) emerged as champion in the IT Category during the 3rd PCDEB Visayas Business Student Summit held on March 30, 2026.

The summit, conducted online, brought together business students from across the region in a gathering led by the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business.

Carrying the theme “Future Ready Entrepreneurs: Innovate. Lead. Succeed,” the half-day event ran from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. via Zoom Teleconference and centered on innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

The CPU team secured the top spot through their innovative project titled “HUE FOR YOU,” which showcased strong research capabilities and entrepreneurial pitching. In addition to the championship title, the group also received the Best in Paper and Best in Pitching awards.

Leading the team was Faith Alessandra T. Sangco, along with members Ellaine Jean Padilla, Ellysa Clavaton, Nelle Ivory Galea, Aesha Cadion, and Monica Gregorio.

The team was guided by their advisers, Asst. Prof. Mary Jane Tabar and Dr. Marivic Santos.

The summit was held in cooperation with the USA Business Management Association of the Philippines (BMAP) and the BS Business Administration Programs of the University of San Agustin. It was also funded by the University of San Agustin Student Research Fund through the Research Publication Services (RPS) under the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation.
