Congratulations to the Central Philippine University–College of Business and Accountancy (CPU-CBA) team for securing 1st Runner-Up at BIZCON 2026, showcasing outstanding business pitching skills and innovation under the theme “Taste, Tradition, Transformation: Gastronomy Driving Ilonggo Innovation.”

The Central Philippine University–College of Business and Accountancy (CPU-CBA) earned the 1st Runner-Up award in the Business Pitching Competition of BIZCON 2026, held on March 27–28, 2026, at West Visayas State University – College of Business and Management (CBM).

Anchored on the theme “Taste, Tradition, Transformation: Gastronomy Driving Ilonggo Innovation,” the event gathered students from business, hospitality, tourism, and cooperative management programs to explore how local gastronomy and cultural heritage can drive innovation and sustainable enterprise development.

The competition highlighted participants’ competencies in business strategy, planning, and live pitching. CPU-CBA representatives distinguished themselves among competing institutions, securing the 1st Runner-Up honor.

The team was guided by coaches Dr. Marivic C. Santos and Asst. Prof. Mary Jane P. Tabar, both faculty members of CBA.

Ileto (BSBA Financial Management, 3rd Year – Designer), Jelaine G. Jaena (BSBA Financial Management, 3rd Year – Project Lead/Presenter), Sarah M. BIZCON 2026, part of the annual CBM Business Conference, continues to serve as a platform for nurturing entrepreneurial excellence and innovation among future business leaders in the region.
