Community service: the Centralian way – With one of its terms in English translates to “happiness,” Proyektong Kalipay” comes as an outreach project activity by the College of Arts and Sciences Provincial Student Council. The outreach project was held on June 9, 2023, at the Iwa Macatol Elementary School in Pototan, Iloilo on which the school has been their beneficiary.
Living up to its subtitle, “The Time for Giving,” the activity was joined by several CAS academic organizations namely JSWAP – CPU Chapter, ASC – CPU, APPS – CPU, CPU BioSoc, and CPU CommCircle. There was a distribution of school supplies to pupils of the said beneficiary in Pototan, Iloilo. The College of Arts and Sciences has extended many projects to the community in different barangays and municipalities in Iloilo – on their own. They had also been supported by the CPU Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center.
