BSED Science students observing artifacts in one of the museum galleries.
Last July 4, 2025, the second-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Science students of CPU, under the instruction of Prof. Sarex Dalida Dipol Jr., visited the National Museum Western Visayas in Iloilo City. The educational trip was part of their Educational Science (EdSci) course, aimed at enhancing their understanding of science in cultural and historical contexts.
During the tour, students explored various exhibits showcasing Iloilo’s rich history, anthropology, local wildlife, architecture, and traditional pottery. They gained insights into the region’s natural and cultural development, learning how local science and heritage are intertwined.
The experience allowed the students to connect classroom lessons with real-world observations, strengthening their appreciation for Filipino culture and history. The trip served not only as a learning opportunity but also as a meaningful reflection on the importance of preserving cultural identity.
