The 2nd Year Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Science students of Central Philippine University, together with the MSF (MathSciFil) Dynasty, successfully held Science Olympics Year 2 with the theme, “Beyond the Classroom: Bridging Fun and Knowledge Through Science” at Iwa-Macatol Elementary School in Pototan, Iloilo on July 3, 2025.

Led by Prof. Sarex Dalida Dipol Jr., Dr. Regina E. Samillano, and Dr. Laureen Morillo Manalo, the event featured science-based game stations created and facilitated by the second-year BSEd Science students. With the strong support of MSF Dynasty, the activity aimed to make science engaging and full of learning by allowing young learners to explore scientific concepts through fun, hands-on experiences.

Through interactive games and hands-on experiments, pupils engagingly explored basic science concepts. The second-year BSED Science students facilitated the activities, helping learners understand science through fun and interactive science-based games.

The outreach also allowed the BSEd students to apply what they learned in class while developing their communication and teaching skills in a real-world setting. The collaboration with the MSF Dynasty helped strengthen their teamwork, collaboration, and organizational skills.

The program ended with a short recognition ceremony to appreciate the efforts of both the facilitators and participants. Science Olympics Year 2 reflects CPU’s continued commitment to extend learning beyond the classroom and bring a positive impact to local communities and even the world.
