Central Philippine University College of Education (COEd) continues its internship abroad collaboration with the Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI). This academic year, UKI introduced a new partner school for the deployment of its inbound preservice teachers. Global Prestasi School is a vertically integrated international school in East Jakarta that offers programs from pre-kindergarten to Grade 12. The school implements the Kurikulum Nasional (National Curriculum) and the Cambridge Curriculum for elementary and high school students, while the Montessori approach is implemented in the early childhood levels.

Two preservice teachers from the CPU College of Education were qualified for a three-month internship in the UKI, beginning February 2026 and ending May 2026. They are Shanine Joy Peniero (BSED-English) and Marvilou Jean Cudo (BSED-Math). They were warmly welcomed by the Junior High School and Senior High School principals, teachers, and staff of Global Prestasi School during their welcoming ceremony on February 23, 2026. The students were accompanied by Asst. Prof. Maristel Decio, the coordinator for the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) of the College of Education, who was also there for an ocular visit and benchmarking. During the ceremony, she delivered a message emphasizing gratitude for CPU’s continued partnership with UKI and a positive anticipation for a fruitful three-month internship for the students.

Universitas Kristen Indonesia International Office, headed by Dr. Benedicta Stella Fortunae, joined the welcoming ceremony, followed by a campus tour and meeting with the teachers and staff of Global Prestasi School. The international internship collaboration between CPU and UKI remains active. Both universities intend to continue their collaboration in the coming academic years.
