CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy delivered the opening remarks during the Fellowship Night with Centralian Nurses at the Rose Memorial Auditorium on February 3, 2025.
On February 3, 2025, the Central Philippine University (CPU) in a collaborative effort with the Central Philippine University Alumni Association, Inc. (CPUAAI), hosted the Fellowship Night with Centralian Nurses at Rose Memorial Auditorium. The celebration is part of the Grand Centennial Reunion of the CPU College of Nursing, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Iloilo Mission Hospital Nurses’ Alumni Association (CCINAA).
The event began with an invocation led by Rev. Dr. Francis Neil G. Jalando-on, Director of CPU’s Office of Communications, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the CPU Alma Mater song. Dr. Anita Illenberger, President of the Central Philippine University Alumni Association, Inc. (CPUAAI), extended her welcome greetings to the attendees. In her message, she commended the ongoing successes of Centralian nurses in the field of nursing care, which remains one of CPU’s most impressive reputations. Afterward, CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy and CPU Board of Trustees Chairman Atty. Von Lovel D. Bedona also delivered their respective welcome messages.
“We hope that you will have wonderful time here as you reminisce your rich experiences being students then of this University, celebrate the milestones you have reached, listen to testimonies of God’s goodness and faithfulness to each one throughout the years, and finally, as you continue to spur each other to seek greater highs in your chosen fields of endeavor,” said CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy.

Highlights of the event included the acknowledgement of attendees, trivia games, fellowship dinner, community singing, and dancing. The event concluded with closing remarks from Atty. Salex E. Alibogha, President of the of the CPU College of Nursing, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Iloilo Mission Hospital Nurses’ Alumni Association (CCINAA), followed by a benediction led by Rev. Cris Amorsolo Sian, Senior Pastor of the University Church.
“In behalf of CCINAA, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the CPU Board of Trustees headed by Atty. Von Lovel D. Bedona, the CPU Administration headed by Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, and the CPUAAI through the leadership of Dr. Anita Illenberger, and the CPUAAI Board of Trustees. Thank you for the warmest welcome, hospitality, and sumptuous welcome dinner that you have extended to the men and women of CCINAA from its 17 chapters worldwide,” Atty. Alibogha remarked.
The celebration highlighted the strong bonds within the Centralian community and underscored the enduring impact of its nursing alumni worldwide.
