Join us for the upcoming, most anticipated event of the year – the re-creation of the Hopevale Musicale, happening on December 2-3, 2024, at CPU’s Rose Memorial Auditorium.

On December 2 & 3, 2024, the highly anticipated restaging of the Hopevale Musicale is set to take center stage of CPU’s Rose Memorial Auditorium.

Presented by Central Philippine University, the Hopevale Musicale is adapted from HOPEVALE: Memories of Missions and Martyrs by Atty. Rodolfo “Boy” Cabado and was originally choreographed by Edwin C. Duero in 2005. This year, the production is recreated by Margaret Rose Dominado and Dr. Jose Denzil Daquiado, with Rev. Dr. Elmo Dianala Familiaran serving as consultant. The musical direction is provided by Dr. Gerardo Vicente A. Muyuela and Benny Fruto Castillon.

“The pursuit of understanding our collective identity as an institution continues. There is a unique avenue through which we can delve into the annals of history and experience its richness in a profoundly emotive manner—through music. The Hopevale Musicale tells our story, in which lie the echoes of triumphs and tribulations, revolutions and revelations,” CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy wrote in Central Updates: From the Desk of the CPU President.

The production of the Hopevale Musicale is organized by Executive Producer, CPU President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, and Line Producer, CPU Cultural Affairs Office Director, Crista Sianson-Huyong. The team behind the play also includes Faith Jordan Javellana for Artistic Direction and Choreography; Joshua Jonathan Quimpo for Musical Direction; Romel Salvador N. Chiu as Technical Director & Sound Engineer; Pete Marwin & Company for Multimedia; Shey Suyo-Velasquez for Marketing and Promotions; and Siref Alfaras for Graphic Design.

“This powerful production, performed by talented students and alumni of CPU, is not just a tale of survival, but a testament to the enduring spirit of hope that lies at the very foundation of Central Philippine University,” wrote on the official Facebook page of Hopevale Musicale.

Ticket prices for the Hopevale Musicale seats are as follows: Php 1,000.00 for prime view, Php 500.00 for near stage, and Php 300.00 for back. For ticket inquiries or reservations, interested attendees can send a message on the Hopevale Musicale Facebook page or visit the Cultural Affairs Office of Central Philippine University.
