Marlon B. Balberona and Salve Lia N. Santocildes, contenders from the College of Law, bagged the Mr. and Ms. CPU 2019 titles during the coronation night on September 24, 2019 at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

Balberona bested 14 other male contestants and won the Best in Preliminary Interview award. Santecildo also won among 14 other female contestants and bagged the Best in Casual Wear, Best in Preliminary Interview and Face of the Night.

1st runners up Noel T. Agraviador Jr. from the College of Nursing and Jennylyn G. Babajosa from the College of Pharmacy were crowned Mr. and Ms. CPU Republic 2019 and 2nd runners-up Hendrix Joe R. Apin from the College of Business and Accountancy and Aura Faye Rodinas from the Department of Senior High School were also crowned as Mr. and Ms. U-Day 2019.

Mr. Engineering Cristian Art V. Go,  Mr. Medicine Ryan Paul V. Portugal,  and Mr. Junior High School Daniel Mark B. Wiegand qualified as semi-finalists for the male category while Ms. Hospitality Management Beatrice Nicole P. Arabia, Ms. Engineering Mary Thel V. Brana, and Ms. Junior High School Ms. Chantell Kuvat Charlotte Griffin and Ms. Nursing Crystyl Shane B. Quintos qualified as semi-finalists for the female category.

Held annually, the search for Mr. and Ms. CPU is one of the most anticipated events during the University Day Celebrations. It is considered as one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the City of Iloilo.
