Dean Molina is the only Filipino plenary forum speaker during the conference organized by the Centre for Engineering Education (CEE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
College of Engineering Dean Engr. Dany Molina was one of the plenary speakers during the 8th Regional Conference on Engineering Education and Research in Higher Education that was held virtually from September 29-30, 2020.
The conference with the theme, “Engineering Education Leadership in an Uncertain World” recognizes the need for action to reform and upgrade engineering education through coordinated efforts by all major engineering players, including institutions, societies, NGOs, industry and education professionals, working as a team to develop meaningful and quality education for the next generation.
Molina spoke during the 2nd Plenary Forum and his presentation focused on the education system of the Philippines. He also talked about reforms, challenges, and the future direction of engineering education.
The Regional Conference on Engineering Education & Research in Higher Education is a signature engineering education conference in Malaysia, which has been successfully organized biannually by the Centre for Engineering Education (CEE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2005. The conference successfully provides a platform for key players to share information and network with fellow educators and stakeholders amidst a background of fast-changing trends and practices in engineering and STEM education.
Molina is currently the National President of the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools. He is the first-ever elected president coming from a university outside of Metro Manila since the organization was founded in 1955.
