February 12, 2026, at the walkway between the Uy Building and the Roblee Science Hall in Central Philippine University, the College of Arts and Sciences held the Tienda sa CAS event to showcase local businesses for a day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The businesses are perfect just in time for Valentine’s Day. Several shops participated in the event, offering a variety of goods and services at affordable prices.
As Valentine’s Day is approaching, the students of the College of Arts and Sciences highlighted their homemade businesses and their creativity by selling goods and trinkets. At reasonable prices, the students can secure gifts for their special someone just in time for Valentine’s Day. True to its name, the shops specializing in arts and crafts made the gifts more thoughtful and personal.
The shops ranged from a photo booth to a mini ukay-ukay to trinkets and accessories to flowers made from yarn and paper. These gifts were sure to make one’s Valentine’s Day extra special since it was crafted with the hard work and pure creativity of the Panthers of CAS. Students could buy keychains featuring their pictures from the photo booth and yarn or paper flowers for their loved ones. The College of Arts and Sciences also showcased their merchandise, which includes tote bags, ID lanyards, t-shirts, enamel pins of the Old Valentine Hall, and stickers.
The event also collaborated with the Philippine Statistics Authority, allowing students to avail themselves of copies of legal documents like birth certificates, marriage certificates, and death certificates. PhilHealth was also present, enabling students to avail their PhilHealth IDs and accounts.
