Professor Armando Hisuan Jr., from Central Philippine University College of Hospitality Management, was invited by the (JTHMAP) Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines – Western Visayas Region to be their honorable speaker during their webinar and membership caravan on April 10, 2022 with a theme, “Exploring the flavors of Western Visayas: The Filipino Cuisine in the New Normal.”

During the webinar, which happened via Zoom and was also aired on the official Facebook page of JTHMAP via Facebook live, Professor Hisuan provided additional knowledge and inspiration with regards to the Western Visayas Cuisine to his audiences who happened to be the industry practitioners, faculties and students from different schools nationwide.

In his presentation, he gave more emphasis on the different cultural and heritage foods of the six provinces in Western Visayas region: Antique, Aklan, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental and Capiz.

According to Hisuan, as he highlighted the Iloilo Province cuisine, he was given a privilege to share the ongoing Food Mapping Project of the Provincial Tourism office under Sir Gilbert “Bombette” Marin where he is also part of it as one of the community validators representing the academe.

Armando Hisuan Jr. is a former food stylist, corporation executive chef, a product developer and a quality assurance personnel from his previous company.
