The pioneer members of the CPU- Outreach Student Volunteers Society with the Director of Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center, Prof. Sarex Dalida Dipol, Jr.
Last June 20, 2025, the Community Engagement and Service-Learning (CESL) Center conducted an orientation to the CPU-OSVS, where the CESL Director discussed the by-laws of the organization, which are composed of its name and purpose, membership, officers and duties, meetings, finances, and amendments.
The CPU Outreach Student Volunteers Society (CPU-OSVS) is a newly established student organization at Central Philippine University that aims to foster the spirit of volunteerism at the University. This organization is also one of the University’s volunteerism initiatives and compliance with the volunteerism advocacy of the Department of Planning, Economy, and Development- Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (DEPDev-PNVSCA).
The by-laws of the CPU Outreach Students Volunteers Society are crafted with the assistance of the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, and Student Development Programs (SDP) Director Ptr. Alfred C. Morales. Furthermore, we also submitted these for comments and suggestions to the Department of Planning, Economy, and Development- Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (DEPDev-PNVSCA)-Main Office, from which we received valuable insights.
These new members will be the main participants for the incoming seminar training about Volunteerism and the Brigada Pagbasa Program to be conducted by World Vision and the Department of Planning, Economy, and Development- Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (DEPDev-PNVSCA) this coming July 7-9, 2025, in the Henry Luce III Library Conference Room of the University, together with the participants from selected higher education institutions all over the country.
