88 Social Work students had their pinning last April 5, 2022 during their 1st Virtual Pinning Ceremony via Zoom Conference with a theme, “Manggagawang Panlipunan para sa Sambayanan: Tulay sa Komunidad tungo sa Pag-unlad.”
March is known for World Social Work Month so this program was dedicated to their social work students in celebration of their hard work and journey as interns in the middle of the pandemic.
The program was filled with words of encouragement from Dean Stella G. Fernandez of College of Arts and Sciences, Ms. Marrian Neslie Imperial, RSW, a masteral professor of Social Work and Dr. Neneth Pador, a social worker of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of San Enrique. Ms. Talitha Chariz Mari Narido, RSW, an alumna of Central Philippine University also delivered an inspirational message for the students.
“It was an incredible experience to conduct the first-ever virtual pinning ceremony; a great milestone for the Social Work Interns and a watershed moment for the Junior Social Worker’s Association (JSWAP) – CPU Chapter to host an event virtually. This pinning ceremony arose from our challenges as Social Work Interns, and we all deserve to be recognized for our outstanding performance in our blended internship”, said Hannah Faith Sejera, the President of the JSWAP – CPU Chapter, and also one of the participants of the ceremony.
She also added that she was very happy of what they have accomplished and that despite of the technical difficulties they still pushed through the program and achieved success.
This program marks a new milestone for the Social Work interns and serves as their inspiration to continue bringing honor to the school and their community.
