Four Centralian microbiologists have achieved a remarkable feat in the recent licensure examination conducted by the Philippine Academy of Microbiologists. The exam was held on January 20-21, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in Metro Manila.

Coleen Casanova, Chloe Faith Mocera, Natalie Marie Nalunes, and Mariane Angela Tirador have emerged as successful exam passers and have earned their certification as Registered Microbiologists, thereby bringing pride and honor to their alma mater.

Successful examinees are required to take their oath within one year of the examination date during the Annual Convention of the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. (PSM). The validity of the certification is for five years.

The PAM Certification Examination is a rigorous test designed to evaluate the knowledge, skills, and competency of professionals in the field of microbiology. Candidates who wish to take the exam must have taken at least 24 units of microbiology courses, including a Thesis, Special Problem, and Practicum in microbiology to meet the certification requirements for a Registered Microbiologist.
