Brigadier General Gerry E. Pulohanan is from Igbaras, Iloilo. He is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Central Philippine University in 1989.
Brigadier General Gerry E. Pulohanan congratulates CPU College of Arts and Sciences on its 95th Foundation Anniversary. On the invitation of the College Dean, Dr. Stella G. Fernandez the alumni General sent a video clip with his message. The current Provost Martial of the Armed Forces of the Philippines congratulated everyone. He thanked Dr. Fernandez for inviting him; the faculty and staff during his student days “that might still be around at this time.”
Looking back, he said, “I miss the University Day celebrations.” He mentioned some of his professors in college, his friends and his favorite pastimes. He added that “I cannot forget the Half-Moon Drive where we almost do everything we need to do to succeed- our assignments, exchange of opinions, current events and practice our debates; also in a jest he said that “we cannot disregard the beautiful girls passing by.” “Indeed, this CAS anniversary brings out a lot of enjoyable memories.”
In his message, Pulohanan advised the students “to aspire, to study and strive hard to achieve your dreams; not to let illegal activities ruin your future and destroy your dreams.”
Although a lawyer by profession, Pulohanan started his military career as a Probationary 2nd Lieutenant (P2LT) in the AFP for 6 months from December 17, 1996 to June 16, 1997. He was called to active duty on September 1, 1997 with the rank of Captain.
He was the Chief of the AFP Human Rights Office until his designation as the Provost Martial General (TPMG) on September 21, 2018. He is also a member of various technical working groups and Inter-agency Committees. He has been a legal officer, Office of the Air Force Inspector General (OAFIG), among many other legal advisory functions at the Philippine Air Force. He has attended various international/foreign trainings and workshops.
Brigadier General Gerry E. Pulohanan was born on December 10, 1968 in the town of Igbaras, Iloilo. He is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Central Philippine University in 1989. He finished his Bachelor of Laws from San Sebastian College Recoletos in 1994. He passed the Bar Exam and was admitted to the practice of law in May 1997. He was conferred with Juris Doctor from the same College.
He is married to Miss Sue Ann P. Coballes and blessed with two daughters and a son.
