Excellence in entrepreneurship: Caesara Jean D. Andal demonstrates exceptional pitching skills at the DTI SEAL-SEGA Business Competition.
On March 27, 2026, Caesara Jean D. Andal, a fourth-year BS Entrepreneurship student from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) of Central Philippine University (CPU), won the prestigious “Best Pitch Award” at the Department of Trade and Industry’s Small Enterprise Acceleration Lab – Small Enterprise Growth Agenda (SEAL-SEGA), held at The Pitstop Innova Hotel and Resorts, Inc. in Jordan, Guimaras.
Guided by her coach, Asst. Prof. Rae Marie G. Leong-on, BS Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator, Andal stood out during the four-day event by demonstrating exceptional skill in presenting and promoting her business, Mampay Bakery, within strict time constraints. Her ability to deliver a compelling and concise pitch distinguished her from a highly competitive pool of participants, highlighting the importance of effective communication in driving business growth.
As one of the top 10 finalists, Andal was awarded a Php 40,000.00 grant from the BPI Foundation to support the further development of her enterprise. The recognition affirms her potential as an emerging entrepreneur and underscores the strength of CPU’s entrepreneurship program in honing students’ practical business competencies.

The SEAL-SEGA program, which aims to accelerate the growth of local enterprises, was organized in collaboration with DTI Guimaras, the Provincial Government of Guimaras, the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy, BPI Foundation, and BanKo, a subsidiary of BPI.
Andal’s achievement marks a significant milestone for Central Philippine University, showcasing the caliber of Centralian student-entrepreneurs who are equipped to make meaningful contributions to the business community.
