The Central Philippine University Tumandok Dance Company participated in the 3rd Manila International Dance Festival (MIDFest 2025), showcasing cultural artistry and excellence on both national and international stages.
The Central Philippine University Tumandok Dance Company (CPUTDC) joined the 3rd Manila International Dance Festival (MIDFest 2025), held in various cities including Manila, Mandaluyong, Parañaque, and Taguig from September 18 to 21, 2025.
The main venues included Intramuros sites such as Forro de Intramuros, Centro de Turismo, Plaza Moriones, and Fort Santiago, as well as external venues like the University of Santo Tomas, Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Philippine Army Auditorium, and the Open-Air Auditorium in Luneta Park.
The festival was participated in by more than 60 dance groups or companies, composed of around 850 dancers from across the Philippines and other countries.
The CPUTDC had the opportunity to perform during the opening gala show at the renowned Centro de Intramuros on the first day of the festival. The event was attended by distinguished guests from the Offices of the President and Vice President, the Intramuros Administration, the Department of Tourism, the Department of Trade and Industry, and many more.
On the second day, the group performed at the Philippine Army Auditorium in McKinley, Taguig City, alongside the La Manila Ambassadors of the Philippine Christian University and the Himig Awit at Sayaw Ensemble of Tarlac State University. The performance was witnessed by foreign dignitaries, Philippine Army stakeholders, and business groups from the city.
On the third day, the group participated in the biggest concert at the park, held at the Open-Air Auditorium of Luneta Park, one of Manila’s most iconic landmarks. The event drew a diverse audience from all walks of life.
In addition to their performances, CPUTDC members also attended various lectures on dance and choreography, as well as workshops featuring different dance genres.
