Laughter and new friendships filled the air as freshmen navigated their way during the CPUR Orientation 2024 held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.

The Central Philippine University Republic (CPUR) Orientation 2024 launched the academic year on August 16, 2024, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, with a lively and welcoming atmosphere under the theme “Where the Roar to Greatness Begins.” This year’s orientation provided new students with an engaging experience to CPU’s dynamic community through a series of activities that highlighted the opportunities and values that define the university.

A standout moment of the event was the unveiling of the CPUR Chant, featuring the stirring lyrics “CPU, the best, In Scientia Et Fides.” This chant embodies the university’s dedication to excellence in both knowledge and faith, fostering a unified spirit among students.

The orientation also showcased the CPU National PRISAA Athletes, who brought pride and honor to the university during the National PRISAA 2024. Additionally, the Golden Lions Esports (GLE) team was highlighted for their commitment to competitive gaming, earning recognition as the Outstanding Alliance Organization of West Visayas at the Acad Arena. The Central Echo (CE), a premier student publication organization, was introduced, emphasizing its role in advancing student journalism and amplifying the student voice.

CPUR Productions, the Republic’s media and photo team, was acknowledged for their efforts in documenting and sharing the essence of student life and university events throughout the year. New students were also introduced to the CPU Republic Officials, who play a crucial role in student governance and advocacy. As one of the oldest student governments in Southeast Asia, the CPU Republic is celebrated for its long-standing tradition of leadership and representation.

Moreover, the orientation included collaborative events with CPUR Local Government Units, fostering community connections and helping freshmen integrate into both their local and university environments.

Overall, the CPUR Orientation set an optimistic tone for the academic year, emphasizing CPU’s commitment to student development and success. With the enthusiasm and energy generated by this event, students are poised to embark on their college journey with confidence and excitement.
