Iloilo City, Philippines – Central Philippine University’s Junior and Senior High School students showcased their talent at the esteemed Sigrab Film Festival 2024, held at the Rose Memorial Auditorium on March 26, 2024. Despite being the younger batch among the competition, the students demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with, showcasing talent, creativity, and their indeniable Centralian Spirit.

The Junior High School Department presented “Rusty Pedals,” a great narrative that resonated with the audience. Directed by Sean Ethan L. Sotto, the film follows Makoy’s journey to find his missing brother and stolen bike.

Meanwhile, the Senior High School Department showcased “Halong,” a captivating film that impressed viewers with its storytelling and imagery. Directed by Clyde Magbanua, the film explores themes of grief and reflection.

As the credits rolled and applause filled the auditorium, the Centralian Spirit burned bright, reflecting the pride and admiration felt by the entire Central Philippine University community. The Junior and Senior High School Departments hard work and dedication at the Sigrab Film Festival serves as a reminder that with passion, determination, and the support of a nurturing community, anything is possible.
