The Campus Bible Fellowship, one of CPU’s recognized Christian organizations, concluded its project “Loved and Not Forsaken: A Bible-based webinar series on Mental Health” on May 5, 2021.
This five-part-webinar series was meant to reach out to fellow students who are adjusting to the conditions brought about by the pandemic. This project was one of the winning entries of CPUR’S “Project Pitching 2.0”. This was an opportunity to address relevant issues in a Biblical perspective. The series commenced on February 24, 2021 entitled “Mga Istorya sang Paghigugma: A Webinar on Mental Health and Building Relationships”.
Followed by the session on March 10, 2021 was a webinar entitled “Sin-o gid bala ako?” – A webinar on mental health and knowing yourself. The third was on depression and anxiety entitled “The Pursuit of Peace Amidst Life’s Struggles” conducted on March 31, 2021 while the fourth tackled on the topic on resilience entitled ‘Shatterproof Beneath This Shattered Roof: Finding Composure Amidst Life’s Chaos’ held on April 14, 2021. The last of the series was on man’s ultimate purpose entitled “What’s The Point? Finding Life’s Satisfying Purpose”. Speakers assigned for each topic also entertained questions from the viewers during the Q and A portion.
With the aid of social media platform – Facebook, the organization was able to extend its scale from domestic to international audience. Each webinar was followed by a small group session with the online viewers, handled by facilitators, where they can share lessons they learned and discuss answers to questions that were not addressed during the session. This became an avenue to build meaningful relationships with “online” acquaintances.
