CARES students and faculty in their first monthly devotional of 2026.
The College of Agriculture, Resources and Environmental Sciences (CARES), through its Provincial Council in collaboration with the CARES Christian Life Ministry, held its monthly devotional on January 21, 2026, at Room 105 of the Dr. Lenwood Edge Building (LEB), from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The monthly devotional is open to CARES students, faculty, and staff and aims to guide participants in their spiritual journeys while deepening their relationship with God. The sermons seek to cultivate compassion, love, justice, and patience rooted in faith. The activity also serves as a space for spiritual comfort and reflection, offering momentary respite and helping participants find meaning and direction during times of uncertainty.
With the theme “Anchored,” the devotional centered on Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” The discussion emphasized remaining grounded and secure in faith, anchored in God despite challenges and uncertainties. Participants explored the verse in depth, reflecting on what it means to trust and remain confident even when outcomes are unseen.
As 2026 begins and the second semester continues, CARES students and faculty move forward with renewed intention to strengthen their faith and trust in God. The devotional encouraged steadfast hope and confidence in God’s promises, highlighting CARES’ dedication to fostering love, harmony, and compassion among those seeking guidance in the new year.
