CPUSHS attends the Career Guidance Program spearheaded by the Guidance Services Center, learning new insights and welcoming new opportunities as they look forward to a new chapter of their lives.
The Central Philippine University Senior High School (CPUSHS) participated in the SHS Career Guidance Program on January 28, 2026, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium, equipping Grade 12 students with the knowledge to navigate life after graduation.
The program was spearheaded by the Guidance Services Center, with the theme “Build, Explore, Discover: Creating Your Own Career Path.” It aimed to guide Grade 12 learners in making informed decisions as they prepare for their future after graduating high school. The event was divided into two sessions, spanning both the morning and the afternoon.
The morning session featured presentations from guest speakers regarding strategies for career preparation. The first speaker was Ms. Hydee Marie B. Zereso, CDSP and JPO Focal, who discussed the critical role of interpersonal competencies within the modern professional environment. It was followed by Ms. Rouella Cheyenne C. Aberia, Job Placement Officer, who highlighted various potential career tracks for the students. The morning event was concluded by Prof. Pedro P. Galeno, M.Ed., MA Psych, RGC, RPm, who reminded students that the path to success isn’t a straight line, but a journey shaped by every lesson learned and every challenge faced.
The afternoon program continued at 1:00 P.M. with interactive discussions. It kicked off with Atty. Nestle G. Taala, Recruitment Officer, who led a compelling session titled ‘Why Choose CPU’. Subsequently, the program transitioned into an open forum and a comprehensive overview of the diverse colleges and academic pathways available at CPU. Finally, the program adjourned with closing remarks delivered by Asst. Prof. Johanna Faith M. Candido, RGC, Director of the Guidance Services Center.
The 2026 SHS Career Guidance Program successfully prepared the graduating class for their next chapter, offering a clear road map of the academic pathways available at CPU. The lessons learned will serve as a vital foundation for learners, who now carry the “Build, Explore, Discover” mindset as they navigate their futures with confidence.
