BS Biology student researchers Mark Hendrix Lapac, Jamille Anne Cañones, and Mickaela Galvez were named Champion at the 20th Regional Student Research Contest (Tertiary Level) on March 6, 2026, with Lapac also earning Best Presenter, highlighting CPU students’ excellence in biological research and presentation.

BS Biology student researchers Mark Hendrix Lapac, Jamille Anne Cañones, and Mickaela Galvez was awarded Champion at the 20th Regional Student Research Contest (Tertiary Level) organized by the Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines – Western Visayas Chapter.

Mark Hendrix Lapac, was also honored with the Best Presenter Award during the oral presentation competition—an achievement that highlights both the quality of the research and the excellence of its delivery.

The prestigious event was held on March 6, 2026, at the University Research and Development Center (URDC) Function Hall of West Visayas State University, La Paz, Iloilo City, bringing together some of the most promising student researchers in the region.

The CPU Biological Society likewise commends the commendable participation and research contributions of Milan Antonette Soloren, Andreanna Faith Tambong, Jaeniefehr Lhouise Murugathas, and Mica Charl Villanueva, who proudly represented the institution and demonstrated academic excellence throughout the regional research gathering.

These achievements reflect the spirit of rigorous scientific inquiry, dedication, and intellectual curiosity that define our BS Biology students. These  accomplishments continue to bring pride and inspiration to the academic community, and we celebrate the passion, perseverance, and brilliance you contribute to the advancement of biological research.
