A Legacy of Excellence: Six outstanding Life Sciences graduates celebrate their success after passing the Certification Exam for Microbiologists. Your hard work and dedication have paid off. Central Philippine University is proud of you!
God is truly gracious! As the College of Arts and Sciences proudly celebrates its 100th founding anniversary, six outstanding graduates from the Life Sciences Department have brought honor to Centrale by passing the Certification Exam for Microbiologists. The examination was held on January 18-19, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig, Metro Manila.
These exceptional individuals—Vida Patricia Humadas, Allyssa Jamelo, Wallace Dave Hajjy Lim, Mary Cletani Ramos, Nell Ivan Punzalan, and April Dane Supremo—are graduates of the Class of 2024 from the Life Sciences Department, earning their degrees in Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in Microbiology. Their remarkable achievement is a testament to their perseverance, dedication, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
Their journey over the past four years was anything but easy. As students navigating the challenges of both online learning during the pandemic and the abrupt transition to limited face-to-face classes, they demonstrated resilience in adapting to unprecedented academic hurdles. Despite these obstacles, they remained steadfast in their pursuit of knowledge, determined to achieve their dreams. Their hard work has finally borne fruit, proving that perseverance and diligence lead to success. The certification exam, considered by many to be a formidable challenge, tested their proficiency in five key areas of microbiology: General Microbiology, Microbial Physiology, Virology, Microbial Ecology, and Food/Medical Microbiology.
This milestone is not only a personal victory for these graduates but also a moment of immense pride for Centrale. Their success serves as an inspiration to future microbiologists and a reflection of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and scientific advancement. As they embark on their professional careers, they carry with them the legacy of Centrale—a legacy built on determination, knowledge, and a passion for discovery.
May their accomplishments continue to inspire future generations, and may Centrale remain a beacon of excellence in the field of microbiology and beyond!
